Useful to know
Always book your visit in advance via the online booking module. Pay online and receive your tickets by email with your chosen time slot. Tickets for the experience trail or for tours are also available at the counter, but only if there are still places available for that time slot.
On average, a visit with audio guide takes 1 hrs. From your starting time (= your time slot), you get a total of two hours to explore the site. A guided visit (guided group tour and walk-in tour) takes two hours.
Be sure to arrive on time! Please note that your guided group tour may be shortened in case of late arrival.
If you wish to take a guided tour but are not in a group, you can join a guided tour every Sunday as an individual or family. Walk-in tours are available in Dutch (13:00) and English and French (14:00).
Please note: we ask you to be present at the requested hour (12:45 or 13:45) so that the tour can start on time.
Make sure to book your guided group visit at least 14 days in advance. You order and pay via the online booking module. Does the number of people in your group change after ordering? Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. If there are more people than anticipated, we ask you to pay extra at the cash register on the day of your visit. If there are fewer people, a partial refund is possible.

Schools or classes interested in a guided tour should fill in the contact form. You will then receive concrete information about the possibilities.
We do not accept sports and/or culture vouchers. It is also not possible to access our site with a museum pass.
You can, but only for non-commercial shoots (such as a wedding shoot). We have separate rates and arrangements for that. Contact us via the contact form. You will then receive more information about the possibilities and conditions.
That is possible under strict conditions and only for socio-cultural projects. Ask your question via the contact formand describe your project or event as concretely as possible. Each request will be carefully discussed and considered, after which you will receive more information about the possibilities and conditions.
The ground floor is wheelchair-accessible. The experience trail is largely at ground level. The trail on the first floor is not accessible to wheelchair users, but can be experienced on a tablet thanks to an app. If you are setting off with a guide, please consider that there are about 100 steps. There is no lift in the building.
You can leave your pram in the cloakroom and continue the visit on the first floor with your baby in a baby carrier. There is a changing table at the toilet.
For the blind and visually impaired, the audio guide offers an all-round experience. A tactile model illustrates the size of the Ursuline Institute as a whole. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.
Dogs are not allowed in the Winter Garden or the rest of the building complex. Guide dogs and assistance dogs, however, are welcome.
Yes, there is a free cloakroom with lockers. Large bags, backpacks and umbrellas should be left here during your visit.
Taking photos is allowed. However, tripods and other accessories are not allowed in the Winter Garden. Photography students should submit a request via the contact form.
It is strictly forbidden to use these shots for commercial purposes and/or in print media. During guided tours, taking photos should not disrupt the smooth running of the tour.
We would also like to point out that it is strictly forbidden to take photos of our students, teachers and (volunteer) employees of the non-profit organisation vzw Wintertuin.
